Role
We are building an AI powered SaaS platform which includes our core NLP search and content retrieval engine, user facing conversational experience and low code widget management console.
We are looking for passionate and hard working software engineers with passion for and / or expertise in ML and NLP with substantial experience in building software systems. You could be our new colleague, our new Software Engineer 2 (Backend) in Bangalore, India.
What you’ll do
- You will be responsible for understanding software solutions, architecture, product roadmap and feature requirements and work towards implementing them.
- You will work on maintaining and further developing the Alltius SaaS platform by building and testing new features, advancing the technology for scalability, and ensuring reliability.
- You will write clean and testable code.
- You would be working closely with our lead software engineer (formerly from Meta), and our co-founder data scientist (formerly a professor at UC Irvine & CMU) who would be mentoring you to pick up new skills and develop engineering solutions.
- You will be working on new features with a product team where you work with the team to refine, plan, develop and review new product features.
- You closely work together with our designer(s) to continuously improve the user experience.
What you’ll need
- 2-5 years of experience working on building and maintaining a web based SaaS product
- You’re highly self-driven and willing to learn on the job, while getting stuff done. You enjoy working independently.
- Strong expertise in programming languages such as GoLang, Java, C++ or Python, Python preferred.
- Strong understanding of core computer science and ML/NLP concepts.
- MS/BS in computer science or a highly quantitative field is highly desired.
- Experience with AWS, MongoDB, and Kubernetes, familiarity with cloud software architecture (e.g. GCP, Azure, or AWS) is a big plus.
- Ability to work in an agile environment with a focus on continuous integration.
